Return to The Chapters

Everything I ever really needed to know, I learned in the Living City of Ravens Bluff

[On a sad note, this chapter has been closed with the destruction of Ravens Bluff. Forever here are immortalized the wisdom of a few brave adventurers who I can only hope survived the onslaught..]

...Don't feed the animals. They will invarriably want more, beginning with your hand.

...Single orcs always travel in packs.

...Last minute henchmen come with their own red shirts.

...The probablity of a diety personally answering the call of one of their clerics is inversely proportional to the level of danger in the encounter.

...When trying to motivate a group of adventurers, one random magic item is worth more than all the gold in the campaign.

...The most improbable solution is often the least impossible.

... If you argue long enough and hard enough, you may change the natural laws of reality... or die where you stand.

...remember.. the adventure all goes for nil unless you get your chainmail shirt torn

Worry not about the arrow with your name on it, for there is only one. Instead, concern yourself with the arrows addressed, 'To Whom it May Concern', for there are many.

When performing complicated "ally-oop" maneuvers in the face of the enemy, practice first with a henchman.
Trust me on this.

Never, ever under any circumstances brag loudly, or at all, about being a Dragonslayer!! Unless of course you really do want Dragons to have something to prove to you!
